Well, the first day of plenary has recessed. Two items have been sent down to the presbytery so far. The Belhar Confession was approved and sent down for approval by the presbyteries. Because it is an addition to the Book of Confessions, it will require a 2/3's vote of the presbyteries and approval from the 220th GA (2012) before it could be added. In addition, by a 69%/30%/1% vote the New Form of Government was approved and sent down. It needs to receive a 50%+1 vote to replace the current Form of Government of our Book of Order. This nFOG, as it is called, does not change anything in the Directory for Worship or the Book of Discipline.
Some of you have said that you can't read my postings. I checked this evening and discovered that Microsoft Internet Explorer does not properly display the posting.
